QUARTER PRACTICE SHEETS ARE DUE THIS WEEK:  JANUARY 23RD
Blue day due on Monday, Jan. 23rd for full credit and Burgundy is due on Tuesday, Jan. 24th for fulll credit.  The day after is a letter grade down.  Thrusday, Jan. 26th at 3:00 p.m. is the last chance to turn in sheets for the second half of the quarter. 

PARENTS: PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SIGN EACH LINE FOR FULL CREDIT.  (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Beginner percussionists who have started on drums must show 30 minutes on bells and 30 minutes on snares.  If you are not on drum, then you should still show 100 minutes on bells.  Those percussionist who have started rudiments should be following the time chart below on your practice sheet.
 
STAGE BAND REHEARSAL FOR NEW MEMBERS IS THIS TUESDAY, JAN. 24th .  THIS REHEARSAL IS ONLY TILL 3:30 TO GET IN IMPROVISATION. 
OLD MEMBERS RETURN ON JAN. 31ST.  STILL TRYING TO PLAN A TRIP TO NOKESVILLE ON FEB. 20TH.  SO PLEASE PRACTICE WINTER SELECTIONS.


ALL COUNTY FORMS ARE IN.  PLEASE SEE MRS. TYLER FOR A COPY.  PARENTS AND STUDENTS MUST MAKE SURE TO SIGN ALL LINES OR YOUR FORM WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.
7TH GRADE INTERMEDIATE WILL NOT HAVE TO AUDITION.  WE HAVE BEEN OFFERED FIVE SLOTS.  JUST LET MRS. TYLER KNOW YOU ARE INTERESTED.  8TH GRADERS WILL HAVE TO AUDITION USING THE SAME REQUIREMENTS AS FOR DISTRICT AUDITION (THE C ETUDE WILL BE USED)
FORMS FOR ALL COUNTY WILL BE POSTED ON THIS SITE SOME TIME THIS WEEK.  PLEASE LOOK BELOW.

Solo and Ensemble Event:  All students (6th - 8th grade) can participate in this event.  You have to play a solo or perform with an ensemble (duet, trio, etc...) in front of  judge in April.  The piece must be on the VBODA list which is in most music store.  Also check with Mrs. Tyler if you would like for her to help you find a selection if needed.  Do not wait till the last minute to do so.  

 Students wanting to  participate in this event must perform their piece for Mrs. Tyler prior to reistration which comes in March.  Otherwise you will not be allowed to register (This includes those who have private teachers.  Mrs. Tyler will make the final decision if you can participate or not). 

Again we still have t-shirts on sale. 

Practice Time for Winter Break: 
6th & 7th Beginners:  20 minutes total.  That would be 10 min. the week of Dec. 19 and 10 min the week of Dec. 26 showing time at the end of the week or 20 minutes the week of Dec. 26 showing time at the end of the week to recieve an A. 
7th Intermediate and 8th Grade Advance:  30 minutes total.  That would be 15 min. Dec. 19th and 15 min. Dec. 26 showing time at the end of the week (Thursday on) or 30 minutes the week of Dec. 26 showing time at the end of the week.
